The Evidence Network’s VP Research to lead Ontario Expert Panel

Panel to review and evaluate $4 billion in business support

Dr. Margaret Dalziel, VP Research, The Evidence Network, and Professor, CONRAD Centre for Business Entrepreneurship and Technology, University of Waterloo, was named by The Province of Ontario’s Ministry of Finance as Panel Chair.

Other panel members include Dr. David A. Wolfe and Dr. Douglas Cumming. The panel of experts will review and evaluate the province’s annual investment of $4 billion in business support programs.

Following recommendations of the Jobs and Prosperity Council, the panel will review programs that improve productivity, strengthen exports, and increase innovation performance. The panel is considering all forms of business support, including tax credits, grants, and other direct support programs.
