Your Report

The Evidence Network's deliverable is a report on the performance of one or more innovation enablers.  The following is the Table of Contents for an example performance assessment.  Depending upon customer requirements, the report may or may not include a comparison of actual and targeted performance, a comparison of past and present performance, or a comparison of the performance of multiple innovation enablers.

Survey results on mission and service performance measures

We report on the survey results on mission and service performance measures.  For each measure we provide the average response, the minimum and maximum responses, and the distribution of responses.  We provide this information both graphically and in text format.

Summary mission and service performance scores

We use radar charts to provide a summary of mission and service performance scores.  The figure below shows a mission performance radar chart for an enabler whose mission performance was measured on four mission performance dimensions (revenues, valuation, employment, and new products, processes or services).  Each dimension score is the average enabler impact measure across all measures for that dimension.

The figure below shows a service performance radar chart for an enabler whose service performance was measured on five service performance dimensions (information and advice, technology services, research linkages, financing services, and business services).  Each dimension score is the average effectiveness measure across all measures for that dimension.

Interpretation and discussion of results

In the interpretation and discussion section we interpret the responses to all questions to provide an overall assessment of innovation enabler performance.  This section contains impact statements such as the following statement concerning mission performance on the revenue dimension: 

 "Innovation Enabler X serves high-growth firms and provides services that impact the revenues of its member firms, sometimes significantly.  Of the total of 43 firms that responded to the survey, 39 firms reported on revenues.  Average current revenues for reporting firms were $3.2 million, up 12% over the previous year.  While these 39 firms indicated that Enabler X had, on average, a modest impact on total revenues, they reported, on average, a significant impact on an average of 5% of their firm's revenues and, on average, a significant impact on revenues increases."
